SUMMER OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES
Discover more than 40 kilometres of marked trails for all skill levels (easy, intermediate and difficult).

Summer hiking
Hikers of all ages and abilities can explore more than 40 km of trails at their own pace, winding through Mount Kaaikop, the surrounding forest and along Lac Legault. In summer, the summit of Mount Kaaikop offers views stretching as far as Montreal. The breathtaking scenery and unique viewpoints are well worth the hike. Before your visit, check the trail conditions for the latest updates and possible closures.
Beach
Enjoy beautiful summer days swimming or relaxing on our sandy beach on the shores of Lake Legault. The water is exceptionally clean (Class A) and the beach is ideal for families as well as those looking for a peaceful place to unwind.

Volleyball
Gather your family or friends for a game of beach volleyball on our sand court, just steps from the beach. Whether it’s a friendly game or an impromptu tournament, it’s a great way to enjoy summer and the natural surroundings of L’Interval. Access to the trails and beach is required.
Water Activities on the Lake
Explore Lake Legault aboard one of our watercraft and take in the beautiful surrounding scenery. Canoes, kayaks, pedal boats and paddleboards are available. Dogs are not allowed on the beach or in the watercraft.

Interval is receiving impressive amounts of snow and trail conditions remain excellent until April.

This winter, lace up your boots and hike to the summit of Mount Kaaikop for breathtaking panoramic views.
We recommend wearing crampons on our trails. Crampon rentals are available on site. Equipment must be returned by 4:30 p.m.

Groomed cross-country skiing

L’Interval offers about 10 km of groomed cross-country ski trails, a wonderful way to discover Mount Kaaikop’s old-growth forest.
Trails are laid out during the weekend, the week off and during the holidays.

Backcountry skiing
(alpine touring)
Explore Mount Kaaikop on backcountry skis. The ascent follows a marked 2.8 km trail, while the descent takes you off-piste through the forest. This activity requires a good level of technical skill due to the steep terrain and numerous obstacles.
Ice Skating and Tubing
Enjoy games or free skating on the outdoor rink, then have fun tubing down the hill with the tubes provided on site.
