Here you’ll find answers to the most frequently asked questions to help you prepare for your stay at L’Interval in the Laurentians.
Accommodation and Arrival
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is at 4:00 p.m. and check-out is at 11:00 a.m., except for camping, where check-in is at 3:00 p.m. and check-out is at 1:00 p.m.
Can I arrive at the site earlier?
You can enjoy the site before 4 p.m. If your accommodation is ready before 4 p.m. and you would like to check in early, a $20 fee plus taxes applies.
Is there heating or air conditioning in the accommodations?
All of L’Interval’s four-season accommodations (hostel, cottages, Chalet La Butte and condo) are heated. None of our accommodations are air-conditioned.
Is the water safe to drink in the accommodations?
Yes, all water on the site is safe to drink, regardless of the accommodation you choose.
Is free Wi-Fi available at L’Interval?
Yes, free Wi-Fi is available throughout the site.
Pets and Environment
Can I bring my pet to the accommodations or campground?
No, pets are not allowed in the accommodations or campground. However, they are welcome on the hiking trails.
Is there a designated area for an outdoor fire?
Yes, all accommodations and campsites have an outdoor fire pit. Open fires are not permitted.
Can I bring firewood from home?
No, bringing firewood from outside the site is prohibited, as it could harm local biodiversity.
Activities and Equipment
Do we have to pay for on-site activities?
No, all activities are included with your accommodation rental. To learn more about our accommodations, visit our dedicated page. Accommodations, consult our dedicated page.
Do you rent equipment for winter activities?
Yes, we offer snowshoe, pole and crampon rentals on site. For ski rentals, visit Roc & Ride in Val-David (819-322-7978).
Do you provide life jackets?
Yes, life jackets are provided free of charge to guests staying at L’Interval.
Can I bring my own watercraft?
No, personal watercraft brought from outside the site (canoes, kayaks, etc.) and personal life jackets are not permitted.
Meals and Services
Do you offer meal services at L’Interval?
No, but all our accommodations are equipped with either a kitchenette or a full kitchen, allowing you to prepare your own meals on site.
Is there a restaurant or convenience store on site?
We sell a few essential items at reception. The nearest convenience store is in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts (Route 329), and several grocery stores are available in Saint-Donat and Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts.
Access and Late Arrival
Where can I park my car?
Designated parking areas are available for the cottages and Chalet La Butte. At the hostel, a large parking lot is located next to the building. Additional parking is available along the roadside. All parking is free.
What should I do if I arrive outside reception hours?
An envelope with your name on it will be left in the box by the entrance door. It will contain your keys and all the information you need for your arrival.
